Truett Baptist Camp
Truett Baptist Camp is a beautiful retreat facility located in the far western portion of North Carolina. Named after the beloved Southern Baptist pastor Dr. George W. Truett, this beautiful camp offers inspiration, information, and recreation. The camp was built on the farm that was the birthplace and boyhood home of Dr. Truett in the 1800's. Logs from his birthplace home were even used in one of the buildings.
The Cloverleaf Student & Family Ministry will host a retreat at Camp Truett for our youth July 8 - 13. It will be a unique opportunity to interact with youth from other states as we learn and worship together. Campers will attend classes daily, learn about music, form a choir, and have the privilege of performing a service at a local church one evening. Recreation opportunities are plentiful!
Recreational activities include:
full court gym
and more in the Rec Room!
Campers should bring:
Sleeping bag or bedding with pillow
Modest one-piece bathing suit for girls
Swim trunks for boys
Modest summer apparel and pajamas
Bath towels and washcloths
All personal products - soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc
Cash for snack shack, T-shirt, etc
Please do NOT bring:
Food or drinks (not permitted in bunkhouses)
Weapons of any kind
Electronic devices (Phones permitted with time allowances)
The cost of this retreat is $125 per person. Because not every youth will be able to afford the expense, donations and/or sponsorship will be accepted and very much appreciated. Donations will help defray the cost of transportation which will be significant. To donate or sponsor a child, please contact Brian Schramm or Theresa Wyatt.
*Please see Brian Schramm to sign up to attend Camp Truett.
Truett Baptist Camp is owned and operated by the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina
For the safety of campers, Truett Baptist Camp does not allow outside visitors. All volunteers and personnel have had background checks.
